The Center for Innovation and Research Georgia Tech Panama Logistics is the latest addition to the Institute for Supply Chain and Logistics at Georgia Tech (SCL). The Institute of Technology and Innovation (ITI) is a unit of the National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG) with inherent powers to organize and implement training plans and programs for the government sector staff in the areas of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), in order to assist in the process of modernization.
As part of the bilateral agreement between the governments of Panama and Korea, was created in September 2012, the Information Access Center Panama-Korea (CAIC) Building 169 in the City of Knowledge, with the aim of supporting the development of ICT in the country. In this regard, it states that AIG, through the Institute, is responsible for managing the center to promote the optimal use of ICT for both the public and private sectors.

The National Metrology Centre of Panama (CENAMEP AIP) aims to enhance the knowledge of the Science of Measurements (Metrology), together with other national institutions, to achieve the uniformity of measures in Panama, based on International Standards. CENAMEP AIP provides calibration services in quantities such as mass, energy, time and frequency, temperature, volume, force, humidity, length, and others.
