European Union

The European Union strongly supports International Technopark of Panama. It is a comprehensive five-year project that involves a financial contribution of 7.7 million euros for an action plan whose total amount is 11.3 million euros.

The goals of collaborating with the European Union are:

   2. Refurbishment and upgrade of buildings
   3. Implementation of CDS signage
2. A stronger management capacity for ITP
   
   
   1. On-site support by European experts in Panama
   2. Internships for ITP staff in European technological parks
3. A better insertion of ITP in CDS as a whole
   
   
   1. Formulating high synergy ITP-CDS goals
   2. Coordinating other projects for support to CDS
4. Reinforced and improved national / international ITP/CDS promotion
   
   
   1. Creating a new corporate image
   2. Designing a Promotion Plan and issuing new promotional materials
   3. Developing the ITP-CDS Promotion Plan
5. Accomplished technology promotion and transfer
   
   
   1. Stimulating and facilitating actions for Knowledge and Technology transfer
   2. Regular technological meetings and development of Pilot Projects
   3. Contests and selection of University-Company R&D projects
6. A stronger European-Latin American network of technological parks

   2. Creation of the International Training Center for Technological Park Managers
