Course Objectives
- To strengthen the theoretical and practical knowledge on weather radar operational strategies, products, operational applications and data quality
- To improve the use of weather radar tools for severe weather nowcasting, lightning forecast, quantitative precipitation estimation and forecasting, as well as hydrological applications.
Target Audience
This course is intended for meteorologists and hydrologists with basic knowledge on the use of Weather Radar. It is designed as support material for the work of forecasting severe weather alert for situations of real warnings in operating environments, and as a reference tool to understand better certain aspects of rainfall quantitative forecast.
