On Thursday, May 3, 2012, the signing of the affiliation agreement between the City of Knowledge Foundation (FCDS) and Smart Card Alliance Latin America (SCALA) took place, thus becoming new users of the International Technopark of Panama.

The Smart Card Alliance is a multi industry nonprofit association that works to stimulate the understanding, adoption, use and widespread application of smart card technology. Through specific projects such as educational programs, market research, advocacy, industry relations and open forums, the Alliance keeps its members connected to industry leaders and innovative thought.

The agreement was signed by the Executive Director of the City of Knowledge Foundation, Jorge Arosemena and Edgar Betts, Associate Director of SCALA.
