Inauguration of the FCDS with INADEH Certificate
On Wednesday, May 2nd, the City of Knowledge Foundation (FCDS), the National Institute of Professional Training for the Human Development (INADEH) and Planeta Panamá Consultants inaugurated the Certificate of Competence: "Environmental Management in the Energy Sector: the Critical Path."
Dr. Manolo Zárate, General Manager of Planeta Panamá Consultants, welcomed the participants to the Certificate and presented the facilitators composed of Rodrigo Noriega, Marilyn Diéguez, Diana Laguna, Ana García, Natalia Young, and himself; followed by a brief explanation of its content and methodology.
Then, Professor Jorge Arosemena, Executive Director of the City of Knowledge Foundation, offered welcoming remarks to the National Secretary of Energy, Juan Manuel Urriola, and to the select group of people present, by reflecting on how and why these activities are part of the vision of the City of Knowledge Foundation, its importance in the competitive area of the country and the need for further work in this line of training.
Subsequently, the conference period began with Engineer Juan Manuel Urriola, National Secretary of Energy, speaking about: "The current energy policy in Panama. Problems and Opportunities" and with Dr. Guillermo Castro, Academic Director of the City of Knowledge Foundation, who spoke about "Energy and Development: historical perspective and contemporary challenges."
This degree is part of the line of courses and certificates of the Extension Program developed by the Academic Direction of the City of Knowledge Foundation in conjunction with the National Institute of Professional Training for the Human Development (INADEH).
